Greetings and welcome back! This week we will continue to move ahead in our investigation of the effects of heat on floating and sinking. By weeks end we will surely have enough data to resolve the issue. Also we will begin using Google Reader as a way to obtain information. I also want you to take some time to reflect on the learning you have been doing in Social Studies and how that may apply to Science class. In particular, how can you use your own learning style to help you most in science?
Here is the overview
** Every day there will be a short vocab quiz on the previous nights words. These terms should be in your glossary from last week.
Monday- Google Reader (do this one first) and Phases assignment. (Do this one second)
Homework - Know Mass and Volume definitions
Tuesday- Return to lab. Does temperature affect density?
Homework - Know Density and Matter definitions
Wednesday - More lab activity (I can’t give away the surprise here), phases assignment due.
Homework - Know Atom and Element definitions
Thursday- Wrap up density, heating, floating and sinking labs
Homework - Know Solid, Liquid, Gas definitions
Friday- Final vocabulary quiz for the week, possible lab activity
See you this week!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI read Underwater Museum Planned for Egypt’s Aexandria It was really cool. I had no idea it was even humanly possible to take artifacts that have been in the ocean for thousands of years and build a museum around it instead of the other way around.
I read the article Sweet smells foster sweet dreams it was on how apparently the smell of roses while you are sleeping gives you calm peaceful nice dreams. so they tried it out on some people and it worked. i thought it was interesting because they said that they were going to try to help people who suffer from nightmares with the roses.
